IT consulting helps a small or midsize company decide what to do with its technology before time, budget and goodwill are committed. For businesses with people in Europe, the questions are rarely purely technical. They involve which systems each office relies on, which suppliers are already in place, which local requirements apply and who actually makes the decision. Our IT consulting service starts from those realities and turns them into a plan you can act on, with conversations held in English or Spanish.

Why IT consulting matters when you operate in several countries

Growth tends to leave a trail of technology decisions that were reasonable at the time: a tool bought by one team, a supplier inherited with an acquisition, a spreadsheet that quietly became a core process. Each choice works on its own, but together they can create duplicated licences, gaps in access control, unclear ownership and projects that depend on each other in ways nobody has written down.

Working across several countries adds another layer. Offices may use different suppliers for connectivity or hardware, employment and data-protection rules differ between the UK and the EU member states, and teams may prefer different languages for support. An independent review lets you see the whole picture once, rather than discovering it project by project. Questions about legal compliance remain with your legal adviser; the consulting work makes sure the technical facts they need are clear.

What's included in our IT consulting

Review of current systems and processes

We begin by understanding what you have: core business applications, user accounts and devices, email and collaboration tools, connectivity, backup arrangements and the suppliers behind each of them. The aim is not a long audit document but a shared, accurate description of how technology supports daily work today, including the workarounds people rely on.

Business priorities and constraints

Technology work only makes sense against business goals. We discuss what is planned for the next period, such as opening an office, onboarding a team, replacing a line-of-business system or tightening security, and note constraints like budget cycles, contract end dates, seasonal peaks and the capacity of your own staff to take part.

Options compared before any commitment

For each decision, we set out realistic options with their benefits, risks, dependencies and effort, including the option of changing nothing for now. This keeps tool and supplier choices tied to your needs instead of to whichever product is most heavily promoted.

A prioritised roadmap with owners

The result is a roadmap that sequences work by dependency and urgency, names who owns each decision and lists the next concrete step. Where a topic needs deeper work, it can lead into cybersecurity or managed IT services, but that is a choice you make after the plan, not a precondition for it.

Who IT consulting is for

This service suits organisations that are about to make, or have recently inherited, technology decisions and want an independent view first. Typical situations include:

  • A growing company that has outgrown informal IT arrangements and needs a clear structure.
  • A business opening or merging offices in another country and unsure how systems should connect.
  • A team facing a renewal, migration or replacement and wanting to compare options before signing.
  • A manager who is responsible for IT without being an IT specialist and needs plain-language guidance.
  • A company with several suppliers and no single view of who is responsible for what.

If your company has no internal IT staff, the consulting work also helps you describe your needs clearly enough to brief suppliers and evaluate their proposals.

How we work

  1. Initial conversation. You describe the situation, the people involved and what prompted the question. We agree what is in and out of scope before any work starts.
  2. Information gathering. We review the systems, contracts and processes relevant to the question, working with the people who use them rather than only with documentation.
  3. Analysis and options. We compare realistic options, highlight dependencies and flag risks, and explain trade-offs in non-technical language.
  4. Roadmap and recommendation. We agree a sequenced plan with decision owners, so you leave with a document you can share internally and use to brief suppliers.
  5. Follow-up. If you want help carrying out part of the plan, scope and responsibilities for that work are agreed separately.

Everything is agreed for your organisation: scope, working arrangements and any service commitments are discussed upfront and not assumed. English and Spanish are both used throughout, so a team in Madrid and a team in Amsterdam can follow the same plan in the language that suits them.

Where the roadmap points to automation or AI, the digital evolution service covers that part of the plan.
